Kate and I met over a shared taco, which feels just a little bit like fate. Seriously, I knew I had found a kindred spirit in that moment. Since then we have also shared a love for estate sales, coffee, crafts, food trucks, and playdates in the park to name a few.
These little ones were angels for their session. *bribes may or may not have helped* The day was perfect, the family was lovely, and everything about it made me so thankful for my job. I have the best clients in the world!
Sometimes the stars align and I get a double blessings -- this was one of those times! Last spring A Latere Academy was having a silent auction fundraiser and asked for donations from the families. I love the school and the positive and encouraging environment there and our family has benefitted so much from their love and support, that I was excited to offer my talents to support them back. As a result, I got to know Katie and her family! Another blessing. Aren't they they cutest?!!
There is a theme that runs through my business. A theme that I love.
It's personal.I've known Shanna since both of us were little. Our moms were wonderful friends and I have great memories of their family coming up to stay with ours and having all kinds of adventures, whether we were sledding in the field or playing barbies. Slumber parties for days was an annual tradition for our families.
When Shanna asked me to be her wedding photographer I was so excited to be a part of their wedding day and share this moment with her and Hodge. Of course, because of this crazy year they have had to be unbelievably flexible and change their wedding date several times, but they have handled it with grace. Instead of seeing wedding sneak peeks this weekend as originally planned, we'll just enjoy these instead.
PS. Shanna and Hodge - you both did amazing in these. I know you were nervous and just wanted "a couple" pictures, but thank you for being such good sports. You both look fabulous in these. I had a great time and hope you did too. Also, this song is my nod to the Rat Pack + rap. Lol. Enjoy!
There are moments in life that seem to stop you in your tracks, and this has been one of them for me. This year I had a "significant" birthday, but few things make me acknowledge the passing of time like taking Taylor's senior pictures. Why you ask?
Because.
This.
How could it be possible that this tiny little thing could be graduating??? Please excuse me as I mourn these little curls and wonder how the days feel long and the years fly by.
Taylor and I had so much fun taking her senior pictures. The whole day couldn't have been more perfect, from the sweetest and most talented makeup artist (a true ARTIST!) to the Chick Fil A sweet tea and lemonade, everything was perfect.
Just see for yourself!
It's true. My favorite thing to photograph is love. I adore the comfort and beauty of 50 years spent together, as well as freshest love-at-first-sight when a mother meets her new baby.
This weekend I was blessed to photograph the celebration of 50 years of marriage for Rodney and Audrey Williams. It is so inspirational to see couples walk through the good times and the bad side by side. I can only hope that some day it will be us celebrating 50, 60, even 70 years side by side.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Williams! Here's to many more.

I have always had a deep sense of living a life without regrets- being intentional about making memories with my loved ones, and capturing those moments with photos. The past few months have made all those memories and photos more precious than ever. Each photo is treasured.
I often hear people say to me (most often moms) "As soon as I lose a few pounds then I'm going to schedule pictures." Or, something along the lines of just scheduling photos for their kids because then they don't have to find something to wear themselves.

I am writing this as a reminder to myself, as well as all of you to get in the picture and smile. Love on those around you. Be present.
Maybe this is why multi-generational photos are some of my favorites. The snuggles between grandparents and their grandkids, interactions as adult siblings and even just having a reason to get cleaned up and get together is valuable.
Message me today to get your next family session scheduled. I promise you will not regret it.
