The older I get, the more and more I realize that the best gifts in life are the people around us, our memories, and experiences with the ones we love.
Shanna and Hodge, like many couples in 2020/2021 had quite a time actually getting to their wedding day, but third time's a charm! Seriously, could their wedding be any more charming? I adored the vibe of their closest friends and family all coming together to celebrate. The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel was a beautiful backdrop and the weather could not have been more perfect for a night out on the patio.
On Sunday I had the privilege of photographing Luke and Heather's family. We have had the honor of walking beside them through so many of life's ups and downs. We prayed with this family for these precious babies, and for healing for Kate's sweet heart, and now for healing for Luke from cancer.
When we found out we were expecting our own miracle baby, Heather was one of the first people I shared the news with. And when our little Pip made her arrival, Heather fed us (thank you!) We are so grateful that we can do life together.
This song (slideshow) is a very different one than I have ever used before, but the whole morning as I was preparing for the session and while we were taking pictures, this song was going through my head. This song has been so encouraging through the struggles of the past few years.
Hopeful.
A path to worship through the brokenness of this world.
We would love it if you would add Luke to your prayer list as they begin treatments.
Sometimes life gives me a special gift, and meeting the 'R' family was certainly one of those gifts.
